Welcome to our community based summer music and performing arts camp for children. Many of the staff are volunteers and parishioners of St. Andrew's Church. Vacation Music Academy is currently seeking Nurses, Nurse's aide, Music Teachers, Dance Instructors, Art Teachers, Arts and Craft Teachers, para professionals, Jr. Camp Counselors from 9th -12th grades, and Musical Theater Teachers for children K to 12th grades. Music Teachers needed for strings, drums, percussion, guitar, band instruments, and piano. Musical Theater Teacher would direct and teach the class for the play. Para professionals are needed to help assist the classroom teachers with various classroom activities and assist with registration or office work. This is a great opportunity to be active in your community if you are a Nurse, Retired Teacher, Senior Citizen, High School Senior, Recent College Grad, College Student, or even a full-time Teacher who needs to feel the freedom of teaching music, dance, art, theater for fun in a friendly environment. VMA Teachers' and staff children may attend camp tuition free for 3 weeks of consistent work. Bonus pay at the end of camp for perfect attendance and being prompt. Staff members are to be present from 8am to 3:30pm each day camp is in session. Staff members are expected to attend all scheduled field trips and activities.
The full VMA staff mandatory meeting is TBA. All staff must take a workshop mandated by the diocese to keep our children safe at camp. Jr. Camp Counselor Meetings: June 19 at pm. Teachers must attend the June 26 Camp Orientation at 11:30am for campers to meet other campers and Staff Orientation Meeting and Luncheon TBA. The director will need to meet with all staff prior to the luncheon meeting, please call to schedule a time. PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGES.
