If you suspect signs of prednisone withdrawal, see your vet immediately as this can be a life-threatening emergency. An example of prednisone instructions would be something like this: Am going to try taking AirBorne tab in diet ginger ale now. I was ordered to take 60 mg in the morning for 3 days then 40 mg for 3 days.
I was on Prednisone for about 3 months starting at 60mg and tapering off in the last 4 weeks that I was on the medication. I don't have however the usual more common side effects like the increased appetite or the moon face, in fact it is quite the opposite I have lost my appetite. I was very sick on the prednisone and finally finished only to go through withdraws.
We are now day 4 off the medicine and there is no end in sight. This is, needless to say, extremely frightening and disorienting, and while I don't wish these symptoms on anyone, it's helpful to know that this is not in my head.

If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Several years ago I was given a short high Dose of pred. Supplementation may be needed during periods of stress, even up to a year after discontinuing corticosteroid therapy.
If you take prednisone for more than a few weeks, your adrenal glands decrease cortisol production. For rash, ask your doctors alternatives to these steroids. I have been taking predisone 10m for 3yrs. The first 10 months I was on it my side effects were mostly bruising and dry skin.
Like the UK, there is no endochrinological supervision of prednisolone use in Australia, regarding sarcoidosis. Best wishes to you too. Every visit I would tell the doctor again again this with side effects from the prednisone. There are real alternatives for our health that address the problem, not symptoms.
For the past 5 days I have made some changes and am quite pleased with the results. Then 7 days 60mg, then 50mg and 5mg less every week. I can safely say I feel a lot less like death:
